European Languages day celebrated on 26th of September each year in most of the countries in the world. In Sri Lanka we thought of celebrating this event to encourage our children to practice what they learn and aware the value of learning a foreign language other than English. At the same time we thought of creating a platform for our foreign language learners to meet responsible persons from the Government institutions and Education sectors from different foreign embassies to show what they have already learned inside the class room and apply them in real-life situations.
This occasion was attended by the chief guest,Mr Gamini Rajarathne (chief secretary),Ms K.D. D. Priyadarshanie (Deputy director of education) Kandy zone,principal Ms Nilakshika Hapugoda, in charge of foreign languages, Mr Anil withanage,
teachers and students from other schools
